Need help with my fish tank please!

   I  bought my tank about 5 months ago.... i got 6 fish 4 days after i bought the tank and let the water stay..  then  3 of the same fish died (tetra?)   and i bought more fish and then more died i dk what im doing wrong im cleaning my tank  about 1 or 2 a month .. and today i found my algae eater dead .. he had white spots on him for a while and he  was alll whit with black dots when he died. wha tam i doing. please help..

Have you had your water tested? Sounds like your algae eater had white spot. Not sure where you live, but if you visit one of those giant fish stores (we have one in town called Big Al's ) the staff can help you out. They are really quite knowledgeable!
